Some secrets are best kept to yourself. Like how your partner’s chewing is annoying. Or how your mom’s cooking may not be the best. Then there are other secrets. Involving the local eating spots. Like who makes the best burger? Or who makes the fluffiest pancakes? On one hand, do you really want the extra traffic? I’m already fighting older folks for a booth Sunday mornings, as God intended; do I really need to add more? The answer is yes. The best small town diner? Just happens to be in Green Cove Springs, FL.

Entrance to Sunrise to Sunset

Located next to a bail bond and across the street from construction, Sunrise to Sunset is truly a hidden gem. Not to the locals, though. When my husband and I first moved out here, it wasn’t long before we were recommended Sunrise to Sunset. When you first step into the decently sized brick building, it truly looks like a diner, down to the bright orange paint.

Whether you’re in the mood for breakfast, lunch, or want to start day drinking with a nice mimosa, Sunrise to Sunset offers it all with reasonable prices. Which is a big deal in the economy we find ourselves in.

With a Motto, “Feels like Family,” one expects excellent and warm service. Sunrise to Sunset delivers. The staff is super friendly and doesn’t treat anyone any differently. This is something that I personally look for with all things. If the staff isn’t friendly, you might as well throw the whole business away.

My husband is a fan of the 2 egg breakfast. You get, you guessed it, two eggs served with your choice of protein (bacon for my husband), hashbrowns or home fries, and some toast (rye for the hubs). Depending on your protein choice, this costs between $14 and $17. Personally, I eat like a child when it comes to breakfast, so I’m a fan of the fluffy pancakes, waffles, or the delicious cheeseburger with French fries if I’m in the mood for lunch. As a French fries connoisseur, I can honestly say that they have pretty good fries. Check out their menu here.

Suppose you are looking for a family-friendly establishment that serves delicious, affordable food. Look no further than Sunrise to Sunset, located in Green Cove Springs, FL. After that, I recommend stopping by the Springs Park. It’s the perfect spot to bring kids, walk your pets, or read a book in peace. They host numerous events here, including Food Truck Friday.
